About this Guide
Updated: 2023-06-22
We refer to this section of the IRSA website as the 'Guide for Newcomers to Prince Edward Island', or the 'Guide' for short. It is intended for new immigrants settling in the province of Prince Edward Island (PEI), Canada.
In the Guide you will find basic information about:
- what should be the first steps to take when you have just arrived
- essential Canadian documents and how to obtain them
- elementary aspects of everyday living in Canada and on the Island
This information will help you settle easier and faster, so you can enjoy your new environment and participate in society to your fullest potential.
How to use the guide
You can browse the Guide by using the navigation to the right, or by clicking on the links on the Guide Map page. If you have just arrived, we suggest glancing through all the sections to familiarize yourself with the content. You can then revisit the sections relevant to your current situation as you are progressing through the phases of getting settled.
